We encourage members to participate in the skills development process by doing a training needs analysis and submitting a workplace skills plan. A mandatory grant of 20% from the skills levies will be paid to those companies that contribute towards the skills development levies and that have an annual payroll of R 500 000 and above. The skills year begins on 01 January and ends on 31 December. You should therefore report on training done from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2018 and provide your plan for training from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019 for the current year.
The due date for submission for Workplace Skills Plan to the SETA is 30 April 2019. Information should reach the Association by 25 March 2019. Please note the online system is now open.
As a 2019 offer, the Association will once again assist members at no cost subject to training executed being facilitated by the Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal Training department.
If the agreement cannot be met, a cost of R3000 will be charged for services rendered.
